You can choose to live a happier life by being optimistic and making small steps towards a better future.  It may be difficult in the beginning, but with a little patience, you will be able to improve your life.

There are many different things that you can do to help improve your mood and reduce anxiety and depression. Some are more effective than others though and some may only work for you if you have a problem with anxiety or depression. Here are just a few:

4) Medication –  There are medications for people with anxiety and depression but it depends on the severity of your symptoms. If you need medication then talk to your doctor about what would work best for you and how it will affect you in the long run.

5) Cognitive therapy – This is a type of therapy that helps to teach you how to think differently about your situation and your thoughts. You can work with a therapist who is trained in cognitive therapy or you can find yourself a book on cognitive therapy and try to use the strategies it teaches.

6) Self-help – There are many self help books on anxiety, trying to understand your thoughts is one way of coping with anxiety. Read through these books and see what you can learn from them.

7) Surround yourself with supportive people – When you are anxious, it is hard to listen to people who are talking about their problems. Try to surround yourself with people who will listen and support you through your anxiety.
