In the past few years, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has been successfully conducting “Pariksha Parv”, an initiative inspired by the Prime Minister’s “Paiksha Pe Charcha” program.
The objective of this initiative is to provide a platform for students, parents, and teachers to share their thoughts and receive guidance and tips from experts, motivational speakers, and renowned personalities. The main aim is to mitigate the stress and anxiety associated with exams and exam results and make the examination process a joyful activity.
This year, NCPCR is conducting “Pariksha Parv 5.0” from February 6th to March 31st, 2023 with a multi-pronged approach. The initiative entails live streaming sessions, exam warriors, radio spots, and a toll-free Tele-counseling service “SAMVEDNA”.
Live streaming sessions will be conducted through NCP CR’s social media and its creative partner New India Junction, covering topics related to examination pressure, cyber safety, prevention of drug abuse, online education, safety, career counseling, and more.
The exam warriors activity will promote audio-video messages to students on managing exam-related stress and anxiety. Radio spots will be broadcast on Vividh Bharti (National) and All India Radio, featuring audio messages from the Honorable Prime Minister’s “Paiksha Pe Charcha” 2023.
NCPCR has taken a step further to encourage the participation of children by sending letters to the state government departments of education, women and child development, and education boards, to issue an order for all districts to encourage the participation of students and children. The commission has also established a toll-free Tele-counseling service “SAMVEDNA” for students to cope with exam-related worries and anxiety.
In conclusion, NCPCR’s “Pariksha Parv 5.0” is a commendable effort to change the outlook of children towards exams and to provide a platform for them, parents, and teachers to share their thoughts and receive guidance and tips from experts. The initiative aims to make the examination process a joyful activity and reduce the stress and anxiety associated with it.
