He is the most prolific batsman in One Day International (ODI) cricket, holding the record for the most runs scored and most centuries scored in the format. Jayasuriya also represented Sri Lanka in Test cricket, becoming the first player to score more than 12,000 runs and take more than 500 wickets in the format.

-Jayasuriya was the first player to score a century in all three formats of international cricket.

-He is the only player to score more than 4000 runs and take more than 200 wickets in Tests.

-Jayasuriya is the only player to score more than 2000 runs and take more than 100 wickets in ODIs and T20Is combined.

5. Sanath Jayasuriya: IPL Career highlights

Sanath Jayasuriya is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who is considered one of the best openers in the game. He played in the IPL for the Mumbai Indians from 2008-2013.
