She wrote a tweet on Friday (August 12), praying for the author’s speedy recovery, that said, “Let her be ok.” A user responded to this tweet with a death threat, writing “Don’t worry, you are next.” Rowling shared the screenshot and called out Twitter for its terrorism and violence guidelines.

She later informed people in another tweet that the police were involved and thanked them for their warm messages.The Twitter handle that issued the death threat has supported the attack on Salman Rushdie and praised the accused, Hadi Matar, in previous tweets.

Andrew Wylie, the agent for Salman Rushdie, has informed that Rushdie has been taken off a ventilator and will soon be able to talk.He was stabbed on Friday morning during a lecture in western New York State.
