Laal Singh Chaddha collected a poor 37.75 crore nett over its four day weekend, but did better in the cities of Punjab state like Amritsar, Jalandhar and Ludhiana among others, especially the last mentioned.
The film is likely to fall short of 50 crore nett over the its five day extended holiday period as the film gets rejected across most circuits in India. The numbers here are the best post pandemic for original Hindi content and only behind KGF 3 for the first weekend. But even here other parts of circuits are not too good as a centre like Faridabad sees similar collections to Raksha Bandhan and on day one it was lower than Raksha Bandhan.
This sentence shows the huge regional differences within a circuit. While this center is similar to Raksha Bandhan, there are others which are 5-6 times better.
The collections in Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon have also been better. However, outside of these areas, it is an awful story with Gujarat being in the doldrums. It was only doing around half of Raksha Bandhan in CI on Friday and Sunday. Aamir Khan is usually strong in South, but he hasn’t come this time.
The film’s failure cannot be excused by a boycott; if it had been liked, it would have at least picked up over the weekend, regardless of a few crore collections.
As follows are the four day numbers for Laal Singh Chaddha.
Thursday – 11,50,00,000 approx.
Friday – 7,25,00,000 approx
Saturday – 8,75,00,000 approx
Sunday – 10,25,00,000 approx
TOTAL – 37,75,00,000 approx
