Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister, will visit Karnataka and Kerala on September 1-2. On Thursday, he will commission the first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant at Cochin Shipyard Limited in Kochi.

A day later, the PM will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth around Rs 3,800 crores in Mangaluru, Karnataka.

The Indian Navy’s in-house combat ship style Bureau (WDB) designed INS Vikrant and poultry work restricted engineered it.

The Vikrant could be a massive ship equipped with progressive automation options, creating it the most important ship ever inbuilt the maritime history of Republic of India.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister will visit the holy birthplace of Adi Shankaracharya, Sri Adi Shankara Janma Bhoomi Kshetram, at Kalady village near Cochin Airport.

Prime Minister will inaugurate the project worth over Rs two hundred eighty crore for mechanisation of Berth No. fourteen for handling containers and other cargo, undertaken by the New Mangalore Port Authority.
