PM’s National Apprenticeship Fair Will Be Organized In 242 Districts Of India On 9th January.

New Delhi: Prime Minister’s National Apprenticeship Fair (PMNAM) to be held on January 9, 2023, in 242 districts across 28 states and union territories of India under PM Modi’s vision of promoting The Skill India mission provides career opportunities for the youth of India.

This apprenticeship mela has invited several local businesses and organizations to provide local youth with relevant opportunities to shape their careers through apprenticeship training.

Many companies representing various sectors will participate in the event. Organizations that participate will be able to meet potential apprentices on a single platform and choose applicants on the spot, providing them with an opportunity to improve their livelihood and learn new skills.

Individuals can register for the fair by visiting (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/) and locating the nearest location of the fair. Candidates who are pass-outs from class 5 to class 12 and have skill training certificates, or ITI Diploma holders or graduates can apply for this Apprenticeship Fair.

The candidates will need to bring three copies of their resume, three copies of their mark sheets and certificates, photo identification (Aadhar Card/Driving License, etc.), and passport-size photographs. and three passport-size photographs to the respective venues, please. If you have already enrolled, please bring all relevant documents to the venue. After the training sessions, the candidates will earn National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) recognized certifications, which will improve their employability rate.

Expressing his views on the Prime Minister’s National Apprenticeship Fair, Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, said that skill and knowledge are the driving forces of the country’s economic growth and social development.

It has been established that countries with higher and better levels of skills are adjusting more effectively to the challenges and opportunities thrown before us by the new world of work. Through our apprenticeship programs, we aim to create a resilient and capable workforce, which has the potential to improve their socio-economic status and drive India’s economic engine, he said.

He further added that PMNAM is a platform that fast tracks the meeting of trainee candidates and employers and allows the candidates to have a face-to-face interaction with the employers and provides them an opportunity to know about the industry they are in. in which they want to train and make a career.

Apprenticeship melas are hosted in the country on the 2nd Monday of every month to provide selected individuals with an opportunity to gain new skills in accordance with government criteria for monthly stipends. The most sustainable model of skill development is an apprenticeship, which has been getting a big boost under Skill India Mission.

The government is striving to train 10 lakh youth per year through apprenticeship training and to fulfill this mission, PMNAM is being used as a platform to enhance the participation of establishments and students. It is also sensitizing the youth to various opportunities present in the participating companies.
