Khan started his acting career with a supporting role in the 1988 film Biwi Ho To Aisi. He then had his first leading role in the 1989 film Maine Pyar Kiya. Khan went on to establish himself as one of the most popular and successful actors of Hindi cinema. He is the founder of the production company Salman Khan Films.
