Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia named in CBI FIR in alleged snooping case

The CBI has registered an FIR against Manish Sisodia and several others for their alleged involvement in an illegal surveillance case.

The FIR was filed following a complaint by the Delhi government's Vigilance Department, which alleged that Sisodia and others had conducted illegal surveillance on a senior officer.

The Vigilance Department conducted an inquiry into the matter and submitted its report to the Delhi government.

The report allegedly stated that Sisodia and others had ordered illegal surveillance on the officer without any authorization.

The CBI has reportedly booked Sisodia and others under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Sisodia has denied the allegations and stated that he has not received any official communication from the CBI regarding the FIR.

The Delhi government has also denied the allegations and called the FIR a politically motivated move by the central government to harass the opposition.
