Odisha Chief Minister and Railway Minister Visit Tragic Train Accident Site

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw visited the site of the train accident in Balasore district.

CM Patnaik expressed his concern about the tragic train accident and shared his wishes for the well-being of the injured.

The Revenue Minister and SRC (State Revenue Commissioner) have been ordered to visit the accident spot and oversee the necessary actions.

CM Patnaik had previously announced his plan to fly to the accident site on June 3 to assess the situation firsthand.

The Odisha Government declared a state of mourning on June 3, resulting in the cancellation of all celebrations across the state on that day.

The train accident near Balasore district's Bahanaga Baazar station has resulted in over 233 fatalities and approximately 900 injuries.
