980 Dancers selected for the Grand Finale of Vande Bharatam Dance Festival 2023.

The Vande Bharatam Nritya Utsav 2023 National Level Competition (Grand Finale) has been organized by the Ministry of Culture for over two days. The competition was held at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi on the first day, December 19th. 980 dancers have been selected to take part in the National Level Competition (Grand Finale) on December 20th.

A special function will also be organized in the Grand Finale on the evening of 20th December 2022, in which Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla; Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and North Eastern Region Shri G.K. Reddy; Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Culture and Parliamentary Affairs; Minister of State for Culture and External Affairs Shri Meenakshi Lekhi and Minister of State for Defense Shri Ajay Bhatt.

Vande Bharatam Dance Festival 2023 is a dance competition organized by the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Defense under the aegis of Republic Day Celebrations 2023. The competition is being conducted in 3 phases i.e. State-UT level, Zone level, and National level.

Entries were sought from October 15 to November 10, 2022, from participants in the age group of 17-30 years in folk/tribal, classical, and contemporary/fusion genres. State-UT level and regional level competitions have been organized from 17 November to 10 December 2022 by seven regional cultural centers of the Ministry of Culture.

500 dancers selected from the finalists will perform a grand cultural program on the theme of ‘Nari Shakti’ during Republic Day 2023. For this purpose, a creative team of renowned choreographers, composers, writers, and creative designers has been roped in to conceptualize an effortless cultural show.
