Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has unveiled an ambitious roadmap for the state’s developmental journey, marking a momentous occasion in Assam’s Vikas Yatra from February 23rd to March 10th. With a focus on empowering citizens and enhancing infrastructure, the outlined initiatives aim to propel Assam towards prosperity and progress.
During this significant period, the Assam government plans to distribute land rights to an impressive 2 lakh beneficiaries, providing them with ownership and security over their land holdings. This move not only fosters socio-economic stability but also empowers individuals and communities, laying the foundation for inclusive growth and development.
In addition to land rights distribution, the state is set to dedicate a staggering 3,920 welfare works valued at ₹25,3111 crores. These diverse projects encompass essential infrastructure development, welfare schemes, and public amenities aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens across Assam. From roads and bridges to healthcare facilities and educational institutions, these initiatives underscore the government’s commitment to holistic development and citizen welfare.
Furthermore, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced plans for the Shilanyas (foundation stone laying ceremony) of 450 schools, with a total investment of ₹3600 crores. This significant investment in education infrastructure reflects the government’s vision of providing quality education and empowering the youth with the necessary tools for success. By enhancing access to education and modern facilities, Assam aims to nurture a skilled workforce capable of driving the state’s socio-economic growth trajectory.
As Assam embarks on this transformative journey, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s visionary leadership and proactive approach signal a renewed commitment to the state’s development agenda. Through strategic interventions and inclusive policies, Assam is poised to emerge as a beacon of progress and prosperity, enriching the lives of its citizens and shaping a brighter future for generations to come.
