Nandamuri Balakrishna, after the success of “Veera Simha Reddy,” graced the screens once again, this time in partnership with the renowned director Anil Ravipudi, known for his entertaining films. The trailer promises a captivating story, with Balakrishna portraying an aged character and Sreeleela’s character preparing for a military career. Notably, Kajal Aggarwal and Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal play significant roles. Director Anil Ravipudi also teased a surprise look for Balakrishna in the film.
The Plot Unveiled: A Guardian’s Journey
The story revolves around Bhagavanth Kesari (Balakrishna), an ex-prisoner who becomes the guardian of Vijji Papa (Sreeleela) following her police officer father’s untimely demise. Bhagavanth is determined to fulfill her father’s wish by preparing her for a military career, but Vijji strongly opposes this idea. Trouble ensues when Vijji finds herself embroiled in a conspiracy, masterminded by the ruthless businessman Rahul Sanghvi (Arjun Rampal). The film delves into the history between Bhagavanth Kesari and Rahul Sanghvi, unraveling the conflicts and their ultimate resolution.
Impressive Performances
Balakrishna delivers a performance that deviates from his usual roles, embracing the persona of Bhagavanth Kesari, an older character blending temper and humor. His Telangana accent and dialogues add depth to Balakrishna’s portrayal, which suits him remarkably.
Sreeleela’s performance is apt for her character, starting somewhat passively but evolving into a more engaging role in the latter half. Kajal Aggarwal, despite her limited role as a psychologist, gives her character a presence on screen. Meanwhile, Arjun Rampal’s role as a new villain in Telugu cinema, though not extraordinary, adds an interesting dimension to the movie.
“Bhagavanth Kesari” seems to be a noteworthy addition to Balakrishna’s filmography, with impressive performances and a plot that keeps audiences engaged. The film’s success will undoubtedly be one to watch in the coming days.
