In a concerning update, the Central Water Commission has raised alarm bells as the River Ramganga at Dabri in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur district continues to pose a severe flood threat. The official flood forecast issued by the Commission has revealed that the river is currently flowing at a perilous level of 137.35 meters, surpassing its danger level of 137.3 meters by 0.05 meters.
This situation has raised significant concerns among local authorities and residents alike. Severe flooding can have devastating consequences, including damage to homes, infrastructure, and agricultural lands, as well as posing a risk to human lives.
“Local authorities, in coordination with disaster management teams, are working tirelessly to monitor the situation and provide assistance to those in need. Evacuation plans and relief measures are being put in place to ensure the safety and well-being of the affected communities”.
Residents in the vicinity of the River Ramganga at Dabri are strongly advised to heed the warnings issued by the Central Water Commission and local authorities. It is essential to stay updated on the latest developments through official channels and to follow evacuation orders if they are issued.
