West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee declared the establishment of specialized Duare Sarkar camps aimed at extending support to families impacted by the recent Teesta floods, particularly affecting regions in Sikkim, the hills, and Dooars areas.

“The camps are specifically tailored to assist affected families in obtaining their lost or damaged ration and social security cards afresh,” mentioned CM Mamata Banerjee, emphasizing the need to aid those affected by the floods in the Teesta basin.

“These special camps, set to be organized in Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, and Kalimpong districts, will concentrate on providing essential assistance to families reeling from the aftermath of the Teesta floods. The camps aim to aid in reissuing lost documents, ensuring affected individuals can reclaim crucial identification and entitlement cards”.

“The Chief Minister highlighted the significance of these Duare Sarkar camps, expressing the intent to alleviate the difficulties faced by those affected, allowing them to regain access to crucial government provisions and support”.

The District Magistrates (DMs) are announcing the specific camp dates locally, ensuring the affected families receive adequate information and guidance regarding the assistance programs. The camps are a proactive measure from the state government to extend necessary support and aid in the recovery process for families impacted by the Teesta floods.
