Women’s Safety: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath commends the Union Cabinet’s recent decision to allocate ₹1,179.72 crore towards the continuation of the Umbrella Scheme on ‘Safety of Women’ from 2021-22 to 2025-26. This significant allocation reflects the government’s steadfast commitment to fostering a safe and secure environment for all women across the nation.
“Expressing heartfelt appreciation, CM Yogi Adityanath extends his gratitude to Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his unwavering dedication to ensuring the safety and dignity of ‘Matrishakti’ – the women power of the nation. The allocation reaffirms the government’s resolve to address the pressing issue of women’s safety and provide them with the necessary support and protection”.
Under the Umbrella Scheme, various initiatives and measures will be implemented to strengthen mechanisms for preventing and addressing crimes against women. These efforts will include timely interventions, improved investigation processes, and enhanced support structures to empower women and ensure justice for victims.
“CM Yogi Adityanath emphasizes the importance of collective action and collaboration among government agencies, law enforcement authorities, and civil society organizations to effectively combat crimes against women. He underscores the need for proactive measures and holistic approaches to create a safer environment where women can thrive without fear or apprehension”.
The allocation of ₹1,179.72 crore underscores the government’s commitment to prioritizing women’s safety and well-being as a cornerstone of its governance agenda. CM Yogi Adityanath reiterates his dedication to working tirelessly towards building a society where every woman feels secure, respected, and empowered to fulfill her potential.
