Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has taken swift action following the tragic fire incident in Alipur. Expressing condolences for the 11 lives lost and the 4 injured, Kejriwal announced a compensation package to aid the affected families and individuals.
Arvind Kejriwal stated that the families of the deceased will receive an ex-gratia payment of Rs 10 lakhs each, aimed at providing immediate financial support during this difficult time. Additionally, those who sustained serious injuries will be granted Rs 2 lakhs, while individuals with minor injuries will receive Rs 20,000.
Recognizing the broader impact of the fire, Kejriwal assured compensation for nearby shops and houses that incurred damage. The assessment of losses will determine the extent of compensation to be provided, ensuring that affected businesses and households receive appropriate support for their recovery efforts.
The prompt response from the Delhi government underscores its commitment to assisting victims of disasters and alleviating their hardships. Kejriwal’s announcement signifies a crucial step towards aiding the affected individuals and rebuilding the community affected by the tragic incident in Alipur.
