New Delhi, [31/10/2023]: In a prestigious ceremony held today at the 69th Annual General Meeting of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) in New Delhi, Hon’ble Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar bestowed various awards, including the Paul H. Appleby Award and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Award for Academic Excellence, upon outstanding individuals in recognition of their remarkable contributions to the field of public administration. Additionally, he also unveiled several publications aimed at fostering academic excellence and promoting innovative ideas in the realm of public administration.
The Paul H. Appleby Award, named after the eminent American public administration scholar, was conferred upon a distinguished group of public administrators who have displayed exemplary leadership, creativity, and dedication in their respective roles. This award is a testament to their unwavering commitment to public service, making significant contributions to the betterment of society. Shri Dhankhar, while presenting the awards, emphasized the critical role played by these individuals in shaping the administrative landscape of the nation.
The Dr. Rajendra Prasad Award for Academic Excellence is a prestigious recognition presented to scholars and academicians who have made outstanding contributions to the field of public administration through their research, publications, and teaching. This award underscores the importance of scholarly endeavors in enhancing the knowledge and understanding of public administration.
