Today, JP Nadda, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led a solemn tribute to the revered Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on the occasion of his death anniversary. Paying respects at Upadhyaya’s statue located at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, Nadda commemorated the enduring legacy of the visionary leader.
In his homage, Nadda extolled Upadhyaya’s unwavering commitment to national service, emphasizing that his entire life served as a beacon of inspiration for party workers and citizens alike. Upadhyaya’s tireless efforts and dedication to the principles of integral humanism continue to resonate deeply within the BJP and across the nation.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, born on September 25, 1916, played a pivotal role in shaping the political landscape of India. As a staunch advocate of Hindutva revival and cultural-nationalism values, he founded the Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJS), laying the groundwork for the BJP’s emergence as a prominent political force.
Upadhyaya’s intellectual prowess and ideological clarity were exemplified through his drafting of Jan Sangh’s official political doctrine, Integral humanism. This doctrine, which incorporated Gandhian socialist principles such as Sarvodaya and swadeshi, underscored his vision of a prosperous and self-sufficient India.
Through initiatives like the monthly publication Rashtra Dharma, Upadhyaya disseminated his ideals of national faith and cultural resurgence, leaving an indelible mark on India’s socio-political landscape.
As JP Nadda and countless others pay homage to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, his legacy continues to inspire generations, serving as a guiding light for the BJP and a source of motivation for all those committed to the nation’s progress and welfare.
