In a recent statement, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia commended the efforts of the Indian government in prioritizing the welfare of farmers. The ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ is a progressive initiative that aims to alleviate the financial burden on farmers and provide them with direct income support. The 14th installment, which saw the transfer of over ₹17,000 crore, is a testament to the government’s commitment towards the agricultural community.
Mr. Scindia highlighted the critical role played by farmers as “Annadata” or the providers of sustenance for the nation. Their tireless efforts in cultivating crops and contributing to the country’s food security deserve the utmost respect and support from the government and society at large. The ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ is a step in the right direction to acknowledge their contributions and provide them with the necessary resources to thrive.
Union Minister emphasized that initiatives like these demonstrate the government’s unwavering dedication to the welfare of farmers. By providing financial assistance directly to their bank accounts, the scheme ensures that the benefits reach the intended beneficiaries without any intermediaries, reducing the chances of corruption and ensuring transparency.
Furthermore, Mr. Scindia lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to empowering the agricultural community. The timely disbursal of funds during the auspicious occasion was seen as a significant gesture of goodwill and appreciation towards the farmer brothers and sisters of the country.
