Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna announced the approval of a substantial Rs 1751 crore incentive over 15 years to Samsung India as part of a mega project, showcasing the state’s commitment to fostering industrial growth. The same formula was applied to provide incentives over a ten-year period to LG India, which holds an investment of Rs 567 crore.

The cabinet’s endorsement of the foreign direct investment policy signifies a significant move towards bolstering the investment climate in Uttar Pradesh. In a gesture aimed at benefiting the citizens, the Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries in Uttar Pradesh are slated to receive free gas cylinders on the occasion of Diwali.
