“Mansoon” Alert: Know the weather condition before going out of the house

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a comprehensive forecast indicating the likelihood of rainfall and thunderstorm activity across different regions of India over the next five days. From Northwest India to the Northeast, various states can expect varying degrees of precipitation, providing respite to some and prompting caution for others.

Northwest India: Scattered to Widespread Rainfall Expected

In Northwest India, light to moderate scattered rainfall is anticipated, extending from East Uttar Pradesh to East Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. From July 31st to August 4th, isolated heavy rainfall may occur in East Uttar Pradesh, while East Rajasthan may witness rainfall on July 31st and August 2nd. The IMD also warns of isolated thunderstorms and lightning activity in the region during the forecast period.

Central India: Thunderstorms and Rainfall Likely in Parts

Central India, comprising East Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh, is likely to experience light to moderate scattered rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning over the next five days. There is also a possibility of isolated heavy rainfall in East Madhya Pradesh on August 2nd.

East India: Fairly Widespread Rainfall with Heavy Showers Anticipated

In East India, the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha can expect fairly widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning from July 31st to August 4th. Additionally, heavy rainfall is likely in isolated areas of these states during the same period. Similarly, Gangetic West Bengal and Sub-Himalaya West Bengal & Sikkim can anticipate rainfall during the forecast period.

Northeast India: Widespread Rainfall with Heavy Spells Predicted

The Northeastern states of India are expected to experience light to moderate widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall during the next five days. Arunachal Pradesh is likely to witness isolated heavy rainfall on August 2nd and 3rd, while Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura can expect rainfall from August 1st to 3rd.

West India: Continued Rainfall over Konkan & Goa and Madhya Maharashtra

West India will continue to witness light to moderate scattered rainfall, with isolated heavy rainfall expected in Konkan & Goa and Madhya Maharashtra throughout the forecast period.

South India: Isolated Heavy Rainfall Expected in Telangana and Coastal Karnataka

In South India, light to moderate isolated to scattered rainfall is anticipated, with isolated heavy rainfall forecasted in Telangana on August 1st and in Coastal Karnataka on August 2nd and 3rd.

Tamil Nadu to Experience Hot and Humid Weather on July 31st

Tamil Nadu, however, is likely to experience hot and humid weather on July 31st, 2023.
