  1. Recognizing Excellence: The Naval Investiture Ceremony – 2023 will acknowledge Naval personnel who have displayed gallantry, leadership, professional achievements, and distinguished service of a high order.
  2. Distinguished Awards: The Chief of the Naval Staff will confer 33 awards, including Gallantry and Distinguished Service awards. This includes two Nao Sena Medals (Gallantry), 13 Nao Sena Medals (Devotion to Duty), 16 Vishisht Seva Medals, two Jeevan Raksha Padak, and Unit Citations to Operational Units & Shore Units.
  3. Special Memorials and Gold Medals: The ceremony will also feature the presentation of the Lt VK Jain Memorial Gold Medal for pioneering research in the field of weapon improvement and Electrical Engineering, as well as the Capt Ravi Dhir Memorial Gold Medal for promoting Flight Safety.
  4. Witnessing the Ceremony: The event will be attended by the spouses and family members of the awardees, along with senior dignitaries of the Indian Navy. The ceremony will be live-streamed on the ‘IN Youtube’ channel from 5:00 PM onwards on 31 May 2023.

During the ceremony, a total of 33 awards will be presented to deserving Naval personnel.
