Adi Shankaracharya’s Life and Teachings
Adi Shankaracharya was born in Kalady, Kerala, in the 8th century CE (disputed). He was a brilliant scholar who mastered various branches of learning, including the Vedas, Upanishads, and other scriptures. He is credited with founding the Advaita Vedanta philosophy, which emphasizes the unity of all existence and the ultimate reality of Brahman. Adi Shankaracharya also established four monasteries in different parts of India to propagate his teachings.
