PM Modi Engages in Bilateral Talks with Qatari Leaders in Doha

Doha: In a significant diplomatic move, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi embarked on his first engagement during his visit to Doha, Qatar, where he met with Prime Minister and Foreign Minister His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. The meeting underscored the shared commitment of India and Qatar towards enhancing bilateral relations and fostering cooperation in key sectors.

Central to the discussions were talks on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, finance, and technology. “Furthermore, the leaders delved into recent regional developments in West Asia, recognizing the importance of stability and peace in the region. Amidst evolving geopolitical dynamics, Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani reiterated the necessity of upholding peace and security not only in West Asia but also across the broader international landscape”.
