Born on November 11, 1950, Neiphiu Rio has emerged as a prominent political figure, leaving an indelible mark on Nagaland’s political landscape. Serving as the Chief Minister for the 9th time since 2018, with previous tenures from 2008 to 2014 and from 2003 to 2008, he holds the distinction of being the only Chief Minister of Nagaland to serve five consecutive terms. This remarkable feat also establishes him as the longest-serving Chief Minister in the history of Nagaland.
