PM Modi Meets Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Dubai

In a significant diplomatic encounter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, Defence Minister, and the Ruler of Dubai, on February 14, 2024, in Dubai. The meeting encompassed discussions spanning a wide array of bilateral cooperation areas, including trade, investment, technology, space, education, and people-to-people ties.

“Both leaders expressed contentment at the rapid expansion of economic and commercial relations between India and the UAE, emphasizing the pivotal role played by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and welcoming the signing of the Bilateral Investment Treaty”.

Prime Minister Modi extended gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his hospitality towards the Indian community in Dubai. The leaders acknowledged the substantial contribution of the Indian Diaspora to Dubai’s evolution into a global trade, service, and tourism hub.

“Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi conveyed deep appreciation to Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid for granting land for an Indian Community Hospital in Dubai, aimed at providing affordable healthcare services to Indian blue-collar workers”.

In a gesture of further collaboration, Prime Minister Modi extended an invitation to Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to visit India at his earliest convenience, solidifying the commitment to enhance bilateral relations between the two nations.
