PM Modi said, “Here are highlights from the Pramukh Swami Maharaj Shatabdi Mahotsav, a memorable program that took place in Ahmedabad”.
Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj touched countless lives all over the world with his impeccable service, humility, and wisdom.
No matter how big the crisis, no matter how big the calamity, for Swami ji human sensibilities always remained supreme. When I called Swamiji after the terrorist attack on Akshardham, I was surprised to hear his words.
Modi said, “In 91 and 92 there was a plan for Ekta Yatra to hoist the tricolor flag at Lal Chowk of Srinagar on behalf of Badi Bhatti, this yatra was going on under the leadership of Dr. Murli Joshi ji and I was seeing the arrangements before leaving”.
“I had gone with Swami ji’s blessings, and he knew where I was going, and said no, we were going from Punjab, and our journey was ambushed by terrorists, and some of our passengers were killed”.
He said “It was a matter of concern in the whole country that bullets were fired and many people were killed and then from there we reached Jambu and hoisted the flag after reaching Sri Nagar, but as soon as I landed in Jambu, I first called Pramukh Swami ji and I was able to Toh Hu Na Chaliye God Bless You Will Come Then See You Will Hear What Happened To You”.
Be it normal times or challenging times, Swami ji always went ahead and contributed to the interest of society.
“Pramukh Swami Maharaj made an invaluable contribution to social reform. He always emphasized that the highest goal in life should be service”.
Modi said, “In front of Akshar Dham, my house was just 20 meters away and my way to and fro was such that I used to visit the temple, so Sahaj Nitya Nata and Akshar Dham were attacked by terrorists. When given, I called Pramukh Swami ji that there was such a big attack, I was surprised that the attack happened on Akshar Dham”.
”I am honored to have attended the Shatabdi Mahotsav of Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj. I consider myself blessed to have interacted with him so closely. Shared my memories with him and recalled his outstanding service to humanity”.
Modi said, “Used to visit Pramukh Swami ji from far away, never imagined that I would be able to go near him but felt good that I used to get to see him from far away when I was very young my curiosity kept increasing after many years”.
In 1981, I had the privilege of doing Satsang with him alone at Paheli Bar and to my surprise, he had gathered some information about me.
