Delhi: The President of India, deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life in a devastating factory fire in Alipur, Delhi, has expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. The incident, which occurred on Thursday evening, resulted in the tragic death of 11 individuals, with four more sustaining injuries.
The factory, located in Alipur’s Dayal market area, was engulfed in flames following an explosion, leading to a massive firefighting effort by Delhi Fire Services (DFS) personnel. Among the deceased were workers trapped inside the premises, which also housed chemical godowns.
As rescue operations unfolded, the discovery of four additional bodies added to the grim toll, highlighting the severity of the incident and the challenges faced by emergency responders. The injured individuals are currently undergoing medical treatment at a nearby hospital, battling the aftermath of the tragic event.
