According to meteorological forecasts, the state is likely to experience isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall and snowfall, with precipitation ranging from 115.6 to 204.4 mm on the 19th of February.
This anticipated deluge comes as a significant development for Uttarakhand’s residents, as heavy rainfall and snowfall of this magnitude have the potential to disrupt normal life, trigger landslides, and impact transportation routes in the region. Furthermore, the weather forecast suggests that inclement weather is not a fleeting occurrence, as isolated heavy rainfall ranging from 64.5 to 115.5 mm is expected to persist on the 20th of February. This consecutive spell of precipitation raises concerns about possible flooding in low-lying areas and underscores the importance of proactive measures to safeguard lives and property.
