The Central Water Commission’s latest official flood forecast has issued a concerning warning for residents in the Gajapati district of Odisha. According to the report, River Vamsadhara, particularly at Kashinagar, is currently experiencing a severe situation, with water levels rising to 55.18 meters. This alarming rise is 0.58 meters above its established danger level, which stands at 54.6 meters.

The situation is deemed severe due to the river’s water level surpassing the danger mark.
