He stated, “Blood donation- a great donation, Best wishes to all of you on ‘World Blood Donor Day’! Let us take a pledge to donate blood on this occasion and inspire others to do this noble work.”

World Blood Donor Day, observed annually on June 14th, was established in 2004 through collaboration between the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies, the International Federation of Blood Donor Organizations (IFBDO), & the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT). Its purpose is to raise awareness about the importance of safe blood supplies and express gratitude to voluntary blood donors worldwide. It aims to raise awareness about the importance of safe blood and blood products while expressing gratitude to voluntary blood donors for their life-saving contributions.

Chouhan’s message underscores the critical need for blood donors worldwide and encourages individuals to participate in this altruistic act. Blood donation saves lives and supports healthcare systems in providing essential treatments to patients in need.

As one of the global health campaigns recognized by WHO, World Blood Donor Day serves as a reminder of the ongoing need for blood donations to sustain public health efforts globally. Chouhan’s call to action resonates with the spirit of compassion and community service, urging everyone to contribute to this noble cause.
