A guard of honor was accorded to the President on her first visit to Jharkhand.

On the 15th of November President, Smt Draupadi Murmu reached Jharkhand on her first visit. She shared a post on her Twitter account on her first visit to Jharkhand.

Governor of Jharkhand Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Minister of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda, and MoS Education Annpurna Devi received President Droupadi Murmu at Ranchi. A guard of honor was accorded to the President on her first visit to Jharkhand.

Droupadi Murmu is an Indian politician who has been serving as the 15th president of India since 25 July 2022. She is the second woman after Pratibha Patil to hold the office, and she is also the first person belonging to the tribal community to do so. She is also the youngest person to have occupied the post of President. She is also the first President born after India’s independence.

She served as the ninth governor of Jharkhand between 2015 and 2021 and held various portfolios in the cabinet of the Government of Odisha between 2000 and 2004 prior to her presidency.
