Ajay Devgn’s supernatural horror-thriller, “Shaitaan,” experienced a significant decline in box office earnings on Monday and Tuesday following its impressive weekend debut. The film, which hit theaters on March 8, initially garnered attention with a strong opening but witnessed a downturn in business on the fourth and fifth days of release.
Despite the mid-week slump, “Shaitaan” is poised to achieve a commendable Week 1 collection, thanks to its steady performance during weekdays. The film raked in ₹15.21 crores on Friday, followed by ₹19.18 crores on Saturday and ₹20.74 crores on Sunday.
However, its earnings dipped to ₹7.81 crores on Monday and further to ₹6.57 crores on Tuesday, totaling ₹69.51 crores in India.
As “Shaitaan” enters its second week, it will face competition from multiple new releases, including “Yodha” and “Bastar.” However, given the positive feedback from audiences, the film is expected to witness a resurgence in box office numbers over the upcoming weekend.
With its intriguing storyline and Ajay Devgn’s star power, “Shaitaan” remains a strong contender at the box office, showcasing the audience’s enduring interest in supernatural thrillers.
