India’s popular social media app Josh, one of the biggest names in the short-video market, is renowned for its provision of a respectable platform to its creators. We are going to discuss today the journey of Akash, the creator of Josh, which has been quite impressive. Hailing from Mumbai, the 27-year-old youngster is a B.Com graduate from HR COLLEGE of Commerce and Economics and a full-time choreographer by profession. His father is a government employee, and his mother is a housewife; when speaking about his family.
Akash, in his journey as a dancer, has worked as an Assistant Choreographer in various dance reality shows and has even personally trained several celebrities, including his favorite, Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor. He is super excited about his first Bollywood film as the main choreographer coming soon, and not just that. Akash was proud, as were his family and friends when he became a silver medalist in the Indian Hip Hop Dance Championship – interestingly enough. This year, he will be representing India in Hip Hop International in Phoenix Arizona.
Talking about Akash’s journey, Akash stated that he used to practice regularly to make his dance moves look distinct from others. He rigidly believes that if you don’t have a groove in your dance, you ain’t distinct. Talking about Akash’s stint in the Indian Hip Hop Dance Championship, the Josh creator revealed that his motive was just going to see the battle and decided to participate in just two minutes and the rest is history.’s
Akash practices at least 2 hours regularly when he trains others and then jams with his boys in the evening. The young lad further revealed that he started his journey with Josh last year i.e 2022 as he choreographed a music video featuring all the Josh influencers. While teaching them a hook step, Akash started talking to 1 person from Josh and that’s how he got to know about it. And ever since he’s been a part or family member of the Josh Community.

Later, Akash was even invited to the JOSH creator’s event, Creatorthon in Jaisalmer, which Akash describes as the best trip of his life till now. He got a great opportunity to share the limelight with none other than Malaika Arora the prominent actress, here’s a glimpse. On being asked about advice he wants to give to other artists, Akash asks them to make their own trends and don’t follow others’ trends. He stated that an individual becomes an artist when they create something new. We are in full agreement with him.
