Legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth have come together once again after a hiatus of 33 years for their upcoming untitled movie, “Thalaivar 170.” The production banner recently shared a behind-the-scenes image of the two megastars, marking the conclusion of the Mumbai shooting schedule.
An Iconic Frame Goes Viral
The heartwarming image quickly went viral on social media, capturing a candid moment between the two superstars. In the picture, Amitabh Bachchan is seated in an office room, engrossed in his phone. Rajinikanth, sporting a warm smile, peers over his shoulder, holding him by the shoulders. Amitabh dons a white shirt and a grey coat, while Rajinikanth is seen in a brown shirt, both exuding their unique charm.

Lyca Productions, in the caption, expressed the excitement of this reunion, stating, “When Superstar and Shahenshah met on the sets of ‘Thalaivar170’. Reunion on screens after 33 years! “Thalaivar170″ promises an exceptional combination of two legendary figures in the world of cinema. Bachchan and Rajinikanth Done with Mumbai Schedule.”
Rajinikanth’s Joyful Announcement
Recently Rajinikanth also shared his excitement for this remarkable collaboration by posting a picture of himself with Amitabh Bachchan in his vanity van. He exclaimed, “After a gap of 33 years, I have the privilege of working once more with my mentor, the remarkable Amitabh Bachchan, in the upcoming film ‘Thalaivar 170,’ directed by T.J Gnanavel. My heart is filled with happiness!”.
The image captured Rajinikanth in a white shirt and a wig, beaming while standing alongside Amitabh Bachchan, who sported a pink and blue jacket along with distinctive glasses.
A Much-Awaited Project
This exciting development was announced earlier this month by Lyca Productions, marking the momentous return of Amitabh Bachchan to the project “Thalaivar 170.” The film promises to be a significant cinematic event, uniting two legendary actors once more.
