When it comes to Bollywood legends, one name stands above the rest – Amitabh Bachchan. The megastar, often referred to as the emperor of Bollywood, has held his iconic status for decades. Even at the age of 80, his charm remains intact. Currently, he’s busy hosting the 15th season of the renowned quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC 15). However, Mr. Bachchan recently made headlines for a different reason. Jay Shah, the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), presented him with a golden ticket for the ‘ICC ODI World Cup 2023’.
Amitabh Bachchan, who is known for his witty and humorous style on ‘KBC,’ has openly expressed his love for cricket numerous times. His passion for the sport is no secret, and he often shares stories about his love for cricket with his fans. In light of his ardent support for Indian cricket, Jay Shah gifted the Bollywood legend a golden ticket for the ‘ICC ODI World Cup 2023’. This ticket grants Mr. Bachchan access to watch all the matches from the luxury and VIP stands, free of charge.

The BCCI, recognizing Amitabh Bachchan’s dedication to cricket, posted a photo on its official Twitter handle. The picture captures Jay Shah presenting the golden ticket to the superstar, accompanied by a heartfelt message.
The tweet states, “A golden ticket for our iconic star! BCCI Secretary Jay Shah had the honor of presenting our Golden Ticket to the Superstar of the Millennium, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. A legendary actor and a passionate cricket enthusiast, Amitabh Bachchan’s steadfast support for Team India serves as an inspiration to us all. We are thrilled with his inclusion in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.” In response, Amitabh Bachchan retweeted the tweet and expressed his gratitude to Jay Shah.

As for his upcoming work, the actor’s recent appearance in the film ‘Unchai’ was well-received. He also made a special appearance in R Balki’s ‘Ghoomar.’ His next project is the ambitious sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898 Edit,’ directed by Nag Ashwin and featuring Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani.
