Bollywood actor Amrish Puri was born in India and made his acting debut in the 1976 film “Kabhi Kabhie.” He went on to star in several Hindi films throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including “Ganga Jamuna Saraswati,” “Karan Arjun,” “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” and “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.” he has starred in films like “Chori Chori Chupke Chupke” and ” Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo” Puri passed away in 2005 at the age of 72.

Lala Nihal Chand and Ved Kaur gave birth to Amrish Lal Puri in a Punjabi Hindu family in Nawanshahr, Punjab. He had four siblings: two elder brothers who were actors (Chaman Puri and Madan Puri), an elder sister (Chandrakanta), and a younger brother (Harish Puri). K. L. Saigal was the first cousin of the actor and singer.
