Anil Dhawan is an Indian actor who has appeared in Hindi films and television. He is known for his debut film, Chetna (1970), and for Piya Ka Ghar (1971). Andhadhun, a 2018 film, is also one of his known works.
Early Life:
Dhawan is from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father, Madan Lal Dhawan, AGM in UCO Bank, came to India from Peshawar, Pakistan in 1947. Anil graduated from Christ Church College, Kanpur after attending St. Francis Xavier’s School, Kanpur for high school.
In the same batch as Jaya Bhaduri, he later obtained a diploma in acting from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Siddharth Dhawan is his son and an actor. Director David Dhawan has two director brothers, Rohit Dhawan and Varun Dhawan. Anil Dhawan’s son Siddharth has one granddaughter named Anjini.
