The 69th National Film Awards, announced on August 24, have brought to light a constellation of outstanding talents from the world of cinema. While South superstar Allu Arjun secured the Best Actor accolade, Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon were crowned with the titles of Best Actress. Anupam Kher took to social media to express his bittersweet emotions regarding the awards. While his film ‘The Kashmir Files’ was honored with the prestigious Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration, Anupam Kher candidly shared his personal yearning for the Best Actor award.
In a heartfelt tweet, Anupam Kher wrote, “Glad and proud that #TheKashmirFiles has won the prestigious and most important #NationalAward – Nargis Dutt Award for #BestFeatureFilm on National Integration.” He further expressed his delight as both an actor and an executive producer of the film. The multifaceted artist went on to candidly acknowledge his desire for an acting accolade, remarking that fulfilling all wishes might rob him of the thrill and motivation to continue his creative journey.
A Bittersweet Triumph for ‘The Kashmir Files’
‘The Kashmir Files’, directed by Vivek Agnihotri and released in 2022, earned the coveted Nargis Dutt Award. It was a significant recognition for its portrayal of a vital theme. The film’s narrative is intertwined with the story of national integration, resonating deeply with India’s diverse cultural tapestry.
