Delhi’s air quality has been a cause for concern, and in light of the rising pollution levels, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made a crucial decision to ensure the safety of the city’s young residents. The announcement involves the closure of all government and private primary schools across Delhi for the upcoming two days.
The severe spike in pollution levels has prompted the Delhi government’s directive to suspend primary school operations. This measure is aimed at safeguarding the health of children, recognizing the heightened vulnerability of younger individuals to the adverse impacts of deteriorating air quality.
“Arvind Kejriwal’s decision reflects the pressing concern and commitment of the government to prioritize the well-being of the city’s youth, acknowledging the immediate need for preventive actions in the face of escalating pollution levels”.
“The air quality in Delhi has significantly declined in recent times, raising alarms and instigating various measures to mitigate the impact on public health. The closure of primary schools stands as a proactive step to shield children from the potential health risks associated with the prevailing air quality crisis”.
The decision to suspend school operations for the next two days comes as a temporary yet essential measure to provide relief to the children and ensure their safety amid the increasingly concerning pollution levels.
Arvind Kejriwal’s announcement seeks to alleviate the exposure of children to the hazardous effects of air pollution, emphasizing the government’s responsibility to ensure a safer environment for the younger generation.
