Assam: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has unveiled ambitious plans for revolutionizing cancer care infrastructure in the state, signaling a significant leap forward in healthcare services. With an investment exceeding ₹3,600 crore, the government aims to establish a world-class cancer care network, ensuring access to advanced treatment facilities for the people of Assam.
In a landmark move, Chief Minister Sarma inaugurated the 9th cancer hospital, constructed at a cost of ₹395 crore. This hospital represents the government’s commitment to providing top-notch medical services and underscores its proactive approach to combating cancer. Additionally, Sarma announced plans for the construction of eight more such hospitals across the state, further expanding the reach of cancer care services.
The initiative reflects the government’s unwavering dedication to improving healthcare infrastructure and addressing the healthcare needs of the population.
