In a momentous gesture of honor and reverence, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently extended a prestigious invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to partake in a series of significant ceremonies slated to unfold in the state. Among the distinguished events, the invitation includes the unveiling of a magnificent statue paying tribute to Bir Lachit Barphukan, a legendary figure in Assam’s history, known for his valor and leadership.
Additionally, Chief Minister Sarma conveyed the state’s request for Prime Minister Modi to lay the foundation stone of the much-anticipated Sivasagar Medical College, a monumental step towards advancing healthcare infrastructure in Assam. Furthermore, the invitation extends to Prime Minister Modi’s participation in the Griha Pravesh ceremony for 5.5 lakh homes constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), symbolizing the government’s commitment to providing the best housing to its citizens.
“Expressing his commitment to ensuring the success of these landmark events, Chief Minister Sarma affirmed his visit to Jorhat, where he supervised the preparations to ensure seamless execution and grandeur fitting for the occasions. His hands-on approach underscores the significance and magnitude of these ceremonies in Assam’s socio-cultural fabric and development trajectory”.
“Simultaneously, the foundation stone laying ceremony for Sivasagar Medical College symbolizes the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality in Assam. The establishment of this institution promises to catalyze advancements in medical education and healthcare delivery, thereby benefiting countless lives across the region”.
Furthermore, the Griha Pravesh ceremony for homes constructed under the PMAY underscores the government’s steadfast dedication to addressing the housing needs of its citizens and fostering inclusive development. By providing dignified shelter to thousands of families, the initiative embodies the principles of social justice and equitable progress, aligning with the government’s vision of a prosperous and empowered society.
