Odisha – Assembly Polls: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has revealed its roster of 112 candidates for the impending Odisha Assembly Polls 2024. As the state gears up for elections, the BJP aims to field strong contenders across various constituencies to compete for legislative seats.
In Odisha, the Assembly elections are scheduled to be conducted in four phases, commencing from May 13 and continuing on May 20, and May 25, and concluding on June 1. The election schedule has been meticulously planned to ensure smooth conduct and maximum participation of voters.
For the first phase of elections, candidates can file their nominations until April 25, with the option to withdraw candidature until April 29. The subsequent phases follow a similar pattern: nominations for the second phase can be submitted between May 3 and May 6, while the withdrawal window ends on May 9. In the third phase, nominations can be filed from May 6 to May 9, and the withdrawal period lasts until May 14. Lastly, for the fourth phase, nominations are accepted until May 14, and the final withdrawal date is May 17.
The announcement of BJP’s candidates marks the beginning of an intense electoral campaign in Odisha, with political parties gearing up to woo voters and present their agendas for the state’s development. As the election dates draw nearer, the political landscape of Odisha is set to witness heightened activity and fervor.
