Athiya Shetty hails from a prominent Bollywood family. She is the daughter of renowned actor Suniel Shetty and Mana Shetty. Born and raised in Mumbai, Athiya completed her schooling at the prestigious American School of Bombay and later pursued a degree in Filmmaking and Liberal Arts from the prestigious New York Film Academy.
Career Beginnings
Athiya Shetty made her acting debut in the Bollywood film industry with the 2015 movie “Hero.” Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the film was a remake of the 1983 classic of the same name. Athiya’s portrayal of the female lead, Radha Mathur, received mixed reviews, but it was a stepping stone into the world of cinema.

In “Hero,” Athiya starred alongside another debutant, Sooraj Pancholi. The film revolves around a young couple’s journey to fight against injustice and corruption. While the film garnered attention, it was Athiya’s potential as an actress that caught the eye of many industry insiders.
