An Indian actor, producer and director, Atul Agnihotri, was born on 8 July 1970. He found success as a film producer, after starting his Bollywood career as an actor, and directing two films. He is best known for his debut film Sir (1993), which is the most notable film of his career and features him as the lead protagonist. Other notable films of his were “Aatish: Feel the Fire “(1994) and “Krantiveer” (1994).
Early Life:
Atul Agnihotri was born into a Punjabi Brahmin Hindu family. His father, Rohit Agnihotri, was an actor of yesteryear who quit films after a brief stint and later tried his hand at business. The responsibility of supporting his family came upon Agnihotri at a young age when he lost his father. Essentially, Atul was inspired to join films because his first cousin, actress Rati Agnihotri, lived with them and made her entry into films during that time.
Personal Life:
Agnihotri is married to Alvira Khan Agnihotri, who is a producer/designer. He also has a sister. He is married to the daughter of scriptwriter Salim Khan and sister of actors Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan. Their first child Ayaan Agnihotri was born on 12 June 1998 and they had a daughter Alizeh Agnihotri who was born on 21 September 2000.
