Bihar Board Result 2024: The Bihar Board Result 2024 has brought to light a notable trend: the dominance of CBSE students in the merit lists across all streams—Arts, Science, and Commerce. Out of 24 students securing top positions, a staggering 15 come from CBSE and ISCE backgrounds, indicating a consistent pattern observed in recent years.

This prevalence of CBSE students in Bihar’s Inter Result merit lists is not confined to the state capital alone. District-wise analyses reveal that in regions like Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Gopalganj, Siwan, Madhepura, Samastipur, and Rohtas, CBSE students constitute 30 to 35 percent of the top achievers.

The surge in CBSE students transitioning to Bihar Board for Intermediate education can be attributed to various factors. Over the past seven years, enrollment data showcases a steady increase, with CBSE student numbers rising significantly each year. In 2024 alone, a remarkable 1,48,000 students who passed Class 10th from CBSE opted for Intermediate education in Bihar.

Bihar Board President Anandan Kishore attributes this trend to the seamless online enrollment process and timely result announcements, which attract students from diverse backgrounds. He emphasized the board’s commitment to providing quality education and facilities to all students, including those from CBSE and other boards.

A glance at the enrollment statistics over the years underscores the growing preference for Bihar Board among CBSE students:

  • 2017: CBSE – 4,387, CISCE – 1,121
  • 2018: CBSE – 5,432, CISCE – 1,276
  • 2019: CBSE – 6,948, CISCE – 1,200, other boards – 1,838
  • 2020: CBSE – 82,742, CISCE – 1,177, Uttar Pradesh – 1,223, other boards – 17,646
  • 2021: CBSE – 1,00,438, other boards – 20,878
  • 2022: CBSE – 1,36,000, other boards – 40,654
  • 2023: CBSE – 1,48,524, other boards – 56,421

The significant presence of CBSE students in Bihar’s Intermediate education landscape reflects a broader trend of students seeking quality education and opportunities beyond their traditional academic affiliations. As Bihar continues to attract students from diverse backgrounds, the Bihar Board remains steadfast in its commitment to nurturing talent and facilitating holistic development.
