A significant step towards enhancing Bihar’s road infrastructure has been taken with the approval of the National Highway Inter Connectivity Improvement Project (Phase-I). The project is geared towards the rehabilitation and upgradation of the Sheohar-Sitamarhi-Jaynagar-Narahiya section of National Highway 104, with a focus on configuration enhancements, strengthening, and expansion.

The development project, aimed at bolstering connectivity and facilitating smoother transportation, has been given the green light at a budget of Rs.503.283 crore. This substantial investment underscores the commitment to improving the state’s road network, ensuring safer and more efficient travel for its residents.

“The rehabilitation and upgradation will encompass various aspects, including a 2 lane/2 lane with paved shoulder configuration and strengthening measures. These enhancements will contribute to the overall resilience and longevity of the highway, accommodating the increasing volume of traffic and providing a superior travel experience”.

The approval of this project is in line with the government’s efforts to prioritize infrastructure development and promote regional connectivity. Modern and well-maintained roads play a pivotal role in fostering economic growth, ease of transportation, and accessibility to remote areas.

“The Sheohar-Sitamarhi-Jaynagar-Narahiya section’s transformation is a crucial step towards ensuring a smoother and safer journey for commuters and traders alike. The allocation of substantial funds for the project reflects the government’s commitment to investing in critical infrastructure that directly impacts the lives of its citizens”.
