With the much-anticipated release of heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger scheduled to hit worldwide theaters on August 25, the booming Telugu box office is set to get a further boost.The re-release of the movie has led Deverakonda into the elite league of Telugu stars.
“Liger”, directed by Puri Jagannadh, is almost certain to take the biggest opening of Vijay Deverakonda’s career. The extent of its success will be known by tomorrow.
The advance booking trend for the film in Telugu is excellent, with close to 7.50 crores gross already for the first day. The overall advance booking is approximately 10 crores. 8 crores for all language.
“Liger” is on course to become the biggest opener for a Telugu hero in Tier-2.”Liger” could give Vijay Deverakonda the edge over his contemporaries as far as the box office pull is concerned, due to his tremendous growth as an actor over the year.
The film stars Vijay Deverakonda as the titular MMA fighter boxer alongside Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishna, Ronit Roy, and Vishu Reddy in pivotal roles.Making his acting debut in Indian cinema, American boxer Mike Tyson plays an extended cameo.
