In the cinematic landscape of 2023, Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated film, “Dunki,” has commenced its journey with a rather lukewarm reception at the global box office. Despite the high expectations associated with the Bollywood superstar, the film managed to secure only decent numbers in its opening run.
The film’s performance in India reflects a nett collection of ₹30.27 crores and a gross of ₹35.73 crores. On the international front, “Dunki” accumulated ₹21.70 crores (equivalent to $2.61 million based on reported locations). The combined global total stands at ₹57.43 crores.
While Shah Rukh Khan’s star power is undeniable, the film has not managed to achieve the blockbuster start that many fans and industry insiders anticipated. The opening figures position “Dunki” as one of the films with a comparatively lower start in the year 2023. As the cinematic journey of “Dunki” unfolds, its performance at the box office will be closely observed to see if it can gain momentum in the coming weeks.
